The Kawasaki KLR 650 has been on and off the road since 1987. Until the 2007 model, it has pretty much not changed since then. It is a dual-sport motorcycle and a long-standing model in the Kawasaki lineup.

In 2008, the bike was radically redesigned. It was a model built with a 651cc, four-stroke, dual-counter balance DOHC, water-cooled, single-cylinder engine.

There were aesthetics never before seen in their old model. Such as state of the art dual headlights, a more powerful engine, better instrument panel and redesigned handlebar control switches that gives the bike a very modern look. The doohickey, or the idler-shaft lever, and “alternator”, which was upgraded to 17amp output which gave an addition 36-watt capacity, allowed better function.

An upgraded 41mm fork and cooling system, a new D section swingarm, and dual-piston front and rear brake caliper were other modifications that were made in the second generation. The 4mm wheel spokes, with a cowling and fairing design, also came along with it.

Whether it be on the pavement or off-road, this cycle has an exceptional fuel range and dual-purpose capabilities. The two models both have the 6.1-gallon fuel tank, a big windscreen, and a durable rear cargo rack addition features.

Its weight when dry is 176 kg (388 lb), and 196 kg (432 lb) when wet. The fuel capacity is 6.1 U.S. gal (23 l; 5.1 imp gal). When it comes to dimensions, their length is 2,295 mm (90.4 in), 960 mm (38 in), in width, 1,350 mm (53 in) in height. 2.6 U.S. quartz (2.5 L) is its oil capacity. Its engine 651 cc single, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-values. Its power is 37 bhp (28 kW).
