The Acura MDX 2018 will become the best-selling luxury three-row SUV of all-time, and it has a significant refresh for the 2018 model years 2018. 2018 Acura MDX come with a tweaked foot, optional second-row captain’s chairs, 20-inch wheels and an upgraded interior with wood trim and leather head the most important changes.
Acura keeps things simple by offering only two main flavors of 2017 MDX. The volume seller is driven by making a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated, direct-injection V-6 that 290 horsepower at 6200 rpm and 267 lb-ft of torque at 4700 rpm. ZF-sourced nine-speed gearbox is the only transmission available in the MDX. In entry-level models, it routes power to the front wheels. Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, which sends power to all four wheels are also available.
The Acura MDX 2019 Hybrid model is powered by combinations of a traditional internal combustion engine and three electric motors in a system called Hybrid Sports Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (HS-SHAWD), but we have to test it. The buyer also has a chance of obtaining data tape for 2018 Acura MDX SH-AWD with Advance Package, as well as two opponents in its competitive set, at our 2018 SUV of the year program, but before we did, had to weigh our staff to the new styling.
Acura MDX 2018 Engine
The 2018 Acura MDX 3.5-liter V-6 that produces 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque and comes paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The engine includes variable cylinder management, which is carried out on only three cylinders when full power is not needed. The Elite trim line also includes auto start/stop, which includes the engine off idle, such as when you stop at a light and can be turned off if you wish. Premium 91 octane fuel is recommended, but not required.
A 9-speed automatic transmission is standard on the 2018 MDX, operates by a set of buttons and switches mounted in the center console. While the manager acclimates to this arrangement in a relatively short order, one can only assume that if something sticky mess on there will keep them in turn when it is used.
Visibility and Safty
Acura offers three different view settings for the reverse camera, and a top-down surround view camera system is standard in the Acura MDX 2018 Advance Package. These features, plus park-assist sensors help this SUV easier to swing.
