What’s New for Maserati?

For those who can shell out the money for a Maserati, it makes sense to want one that is made to your particular taste. This is now possible with the One of One Program. While the Maserati lineup already does allow for a number of customizations, this gives you more. This program will allow customers to specify the vehicles they want just as they want them. The program was launched with a custom Levante, which was made for a winemaker, and now is delivering the next examples. Maserati revealed the first creation of the program at the Geneva show recently. The program will be reaching Maserati New York dealers soon.

The custom Levante that started out the program was in a special tri-coat green paint with dark chrome trim. The interior featured unique oil tanned leather without any surface finishing. The leather was crafted to improve with age. The interior was also offset by a carbon fiber trim with a high gloss finish. The approach to the car was designed to be inspired by the winery and the surrounding countryside of Tuscany. Maserati also built a custom Levante GTS SUV for former NBA basketball player Ray Allen under this program as well. This vehicle featured a custom blue matte paint finish and 22-inch diamond alloy wheels. As a nod to the basketball player, there were unique floor mats that were inspired by the material and design of a basketball net. There was custom embossed seating that featured a finish in a denim blue cover, along with dark chrome exhaust finishers, an exterior grille, and air vent covers.

The One of One Program is similar to what other luxury carmakers offer, including the Ferrari Tailor Made framework.

Along with the new program and the unique creation, Maserati also showed the Launch Edition of the Levante Torfeo at the car show. This is limited to the first 100 units of this crossover and comes in three different colors. While colors have unique names, they are essentially red, yellow, and blue. The paint job is offset by a carbon fiber trim with the hood, side skirts, and bumpers. This edition will have 22-inch alloy wheels in either glossy black or matte. With or without this special treatment, the Levante is still one of the most potent crossovers on the market, with a 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 engine that gives 582 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque.

Maserati also revealed a new woven leather upholstery option named Pelletessuta, which was developed through a partnership with Ermenegildo Zegna. This was displayed on a Levante and on a Quattroporte sedan.
