2017 Buick Avenir is a prototype car manufactured by Buick. The future was unveiled at the 2015 International America Saloon as a concept conceptual study on the future of the Buick brand. Buick Avenir was designed at GM’s Australian design facility, with its exterior design led Warrack Leach.
The name of the vehicle “future” means “future” in French. The Buick Avenir 2017 has the generation of V6 direct injection engines, a cylinder deactivation with a start technology, a 12-inch entertainment system, luxury seats, full LED lighting, 4G connectivity, selectable suspension settings, 9-speed automatic transmission And a system that General Motors calls “double disc wheel clutch system”.
It would have been built on the Omega platform that is shared with the Cadillac CT6 flagship sedan. Although the vehicle is a concept, it is widely speculated that Buick will launch a production version due to GM said Buick would receive a derivative of the platform saloon and the Omega market conditions, especially in the Chinese market are optimal for such vehicle. However, GM said it had no plans to build the 2017 Buick Avenir, nor did it intend to build it.
